Content licensing and distribution
We provide practical legal advice on hosting, broadcasting and production arrangements through to the structuring and tendering of rights packages and the drafting and negotiation of rights agreements. We have particular expertise in copyright levies, collective licensing and in handling multi-jurisdictional content disputes. Underpinning our commercial advice is our deep knowledge of the regulatory environment to which the sector is subject, and in particular the restraints of competition law.
Social media
Our technology, brand management and data protection and privacy teams combine their experiences to advise clients on social media. We act for social networks and other social media providers, marketing services companies, and major corporates which use social media internally or externally for communication, marketing or other commercial objectives. We have worked with large brands on highly innovative social media campaigns, on some of the most complex issues concerning content/intellectual property liability for social network providers, and on corporate and commercial deals across the sector.
