SOFIA: Svetlana Vassileva has been appointed CEO of Modern Times Group's Bulgarian station, Nova TV. The appointment was announced on 19 October 2010.
She replaces Jacob Anderson. Vassileva previously headed up commercial channels bTV, TV7, and Fox's Bulgarian operations.
MTG's (www.met.se) CEE operations include stations in the Baltics, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Bulgaria. In Bulgaria, its channels reach over 60% of the population, and hold an audience share of almost 30%.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
