Local news reports that Bulgarian actor Georgi Rusev died at age 82.
Rusev appeared in over 60 films, beginning in the late 1960's and continuing through his last film, Journey to Jerusalem (dir. Ivan Nitchev) in 2003.
He was a mainstay in films for nearly four decades, acting in a number of Bulgarian classics. His film credits include A Peasant on a Bicycle (1974), The English Teacher (1987), and After the End of the World (1998).
Rusev received a lifetime contribution award in 2006.
