ZADAR: Actress and director Marion Hansel started filming in Razanac near Zadar this week. Her latest film River Upstream/En Amont du Fleuve is a psychological adventure story about two step brothers who visit Croatia following the death of their father.

The film will star Sergi Lopez, John Lynch, Olivier Gourmet and Thierry Fremont. Croatian actors Igor Kovac and Niksa Butijer will also play supporting roles.

The film is being produced by Belgian Man's Films and serviced by Croatian company Kinorama. The entire film will be shot in Croatia, mostly in the Zadar County and two thirds of the film crew will consist of Croatian filmmakers. The shoot will last 30 days in Croatia. Man's Films have a planned budget of 4.5m HRK, for which the Croatian Audiovisual Center film incentives will allow a return of 20 percent for qualified local expenditure.
