The Czech Lions organized by Vachler Art (www.vac.cz) and awarded by the Czech Film Academy will be held at the historic Lucerna long associated with the Havel family. The Lions are the equivalent of the Czech Oscars and will be hosted by Czech singer and actress Lucie Bila. Havel often attended the gala event in the past together with his actress wife Dagmar.

The film was the first and only venture into directing for the former Czech president who died at the end of 2011. Leaving has garnered 12 nominations including Bert Film, Best Director and Best Screen play.
