At its 139th meeting held in Prague from 15 to 19 June 2015, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support projects by Cristian Mungiu, Barbara Albert, Ignas Miskinis, Mehmet Can Mertoglu, Vallo Toomla, Adina Pintilie and Pavo Marinkovic.
In the framework of the distribution support programme, Scheme I (Support for marketing and publicity costs), the Board has pre-selected 36 distributors, which represents a total amount of requested support of 948,400 EUR. The Board also decided to discontinue Scheme II (Support for measures for fostering awareness of European cinema), as from 1 January 2016.
Concerning the theatre support, the Board decided to integrate into the Eurimages network, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2015 two new theatres in Serbia, two new theatres in Switzerland and one theatre in Turkey. To this day, the Eurimages/Europa Cinemas network counts 72 theatres.
The Board of Management has set the following meeting dates for 2016. The deadlines for submission of applications for support will be:15 January 2016, 15 April 2016, 25 August 2016 and 25 October 2016
