New Zlin Fund for Audiovisual Production

    ZLIN: The Zlin Region of the Czech Republic launched a new Programme for Audiovisual Support in the Zlin Region with an annual budget of 10m CZK.

    The Zlin Region, whose rich history of film production dates back to the 1930’s and the founding of a film studio by shoe magnate Tomas Bata, opened a film office in 2016. The city of Zlin is also home to the world’s oldest children’s film festival as well as a film school.

    The fund will support the production of feature, animated and documentary films, and TV series, for distribution in cinemas and for broadcast. The maximum grant per project is 2 m CZK.

    The programme is being handled by the Zlín Film Office, under the management of Magdaléna Hladká.
