Four projects were selected to pitch at Connecting Cottbus East West Co-production Market under the banner “MIDPOINT Selection 2017”. The winning projects are Inventory by writer/director Darko Sinko, producer Vlado Bulajic (Slovenia); Mnk Boy by writer Sibel Altinbas, director Mete Gümürhan, producer Bas Broertjes (Netherlands, Turkey); Waterwolf by writer/director Ann-Julie Vervaeke, producer Anastassia Oudovitchenko (Belgium); and Zana by writer/director Antoneta Kastrati, producer Casey Johnson (Kosovo)
The CineMart Award to participate in Rotterdam Lab and CineMart went to Eliza Jones, who participated in MIDPOINT with the project Asunden from Sweden.
