The film is conceived of as “a sci-fi story with a comic book feel.” The main character is a cloned dog (Jack), who speaks human language. He runs a company that helps people with electrical shortage problems, and together with his human friend Click, he fights the dangers of spacemen and UFO’s as well as the enemy Mr. Proud, who controls the energy market. The film is aimed at family audiences and teens.

The film has a budget of 708,000 EUR and has received support from the Czech Film Fund.

Bio Illusion frequently produces animation and films aimed at children and family audiences.

Jack Russell the Planet Rescuer was pitched at the Visegrad Animation Forum in May 2018.
