South Korean film shoots in Latvia

    RIGA: South Korean film My Way is set to shoot in Latvia. The 22 million euro drama is directed by blockbuster South Korean helmer Kang Je-Gyu. The 24-day shoot will take place during late 2010 and spring 2011 in Riga, the Latvian coast, and Cinevilla (www.cinevilla.lv ) film studio.

    According to a report in Latvias reitingi, Latvia was chosen for its locations in recreating the sites of World War II battles. The Latvian service company is Film Angels Studio (www.angels.lv), and the shoot is supported by the Riga Film Foundation.

    The film is expected to utilize large numbers of Latvian extras. It follows films from Japan and India which also chose Latvia for location shoots.
