Filming began in October on locations in the Bieszczady Mountains, Kazimierz and Zgierz.
The script follow the story of a girl brought up in an orphanage located in a small town who runs away to audition for a ballet school in the city, convincing a new caretaker to go with her. The leading role will be played by newcomer Maria Blandzi. The cast includes Julia Kijowska, Marcin Dorociński, Maja Komorowska and Borys Szyc. The DoP is Piotr Lenar.
The film is produced by Tramway with a budget of 4.3 million PLN. The drama received 2.1 million PLN in production funding from the Polish Film Institute.
Tramway produced Kolski’s last drama To Kill A Beaver which earned a Best Actor Prize for Eryk Lubos at the 2012 Karlovy Vary IFF. Kolski’s 2010 production Venice was one of the most celebrated Polish films of the year, winning seven Polish Eagles.
