Polish Radio said the films are Joanna directed by Aneta Kopacz and Our Curse directed by Tomasz Sliwinski.
Joanna is the mother of a five-year-old boy who decides to write a daily blog to document her life after being diagnosed with cancer and given only three months to live. The film was produced by Wajda Studio with financing from the Polish Film Institute. The film has received at least a dozen awards internationally.
Our Curse by film student Sliwinski is a production of the Warsaw Film School. In the 28-minute film, the director and his wife gradually adapt to caring for their son, born with a rare and incurable disease.
Up to five films will be nominated, with the announcement in January, 2015.
