KRAKOW: The 55th Krakow Film Festival has started. It will run from 30 May until the 7 June 2015. One of the oldest film events, dedicated to documentary, animated and short fiction films in Europe, this year viewers will have the opportunity to watch abotu 250 films from Poland and abroad. In the National Competition alone there are 41 films.
Other categories in the festival include Documentary, Short Film and DocFilmMusic. This year the festival is also doing a focus on Lithuania, it will mark the fourth time Krakow has selected a guest country.
The festival is supported by the City of Krakow, the Polish Ministry of Culture, the Polish Film Institute and the Region of Malopolska.
