The documentary directed by Wojciech Staroń follows the story of two brothers who managed to escape from Soviet works camp but are unable to escape from each other. Polar opposites, they simultaneously love and hate each other. One is an artist and the other a pragmatic scientist.

The documentary was shot over the span of nine years between 2006 and 2015 in Warsaw, Brussels and Olsztyn. The film was produced by the director's company Staron Film in co-production with Mazovia Film Fund and TVP. Małgorzata Staroń, the producer of the film, informed FNE that the budget was 150,000 EUR.
