The production of the films is scheduled to begin in mid-2020. The first film should reach cinemas at the beginning of 2021.

The station is launching a production arm in order to remain competitive on the Polish market, where local TV channels are increasing their domestic production.

Kino Polska TV is one of the family of channels owned by SPI International. 

"Poland is a country with a rich history and culture, and we have all these incredibly talented people around us. SPI and Kino Polska TV saw an opportunity to utilise this pool of creative talent to start a brand new venture in Poland,” said SPI International president Loni Farhi.
