Szyc earned critical acclaim for his performances in recent years, most recently in Snow White and Russian Red.
Wajda has been planning the film for the past two years. He has not yet confirmed the casting.

Szyc Poised for Lead in Wajda Film

Polish media have reported that young Polish star Borys Szyc has been tapped to play the lead role in of Lech Walesa in Andrzej Wajda's biographical film about the head of the Polish Solidarity movement.
