The event, being held in Poland for the first time, and following last year's setting in Hungary, will present 66 projects to more than 700 professionals from the animation industry. Considered the main showcase for European animated series, Cartoon Forum will be a fresh boost for Polish animation as it sets out to conquer new audiences.
Poland has the fourth largest presence at this year's event behind France, Britain and Spain, which are pitching 21, 14 and 11 series respectively. The Polish series that have been selected have a contemporary style mixed with the country's rich artistic and literary heritage and reflect the increasingly dynamic role of Polish animation as it captures international interest.
The list of selected projects from Poland includes Agatha (Serafinski Studio and TV Studio of Animation Films); Basia (GS Animation); Casparade (Film Produkcja); Florka's Diary (Anima-Pol); and Snuggly Rascals (Filmograf, Egmont Polska and Studio Miniatur Filmowych).
