Bucharest Film Studios’ request for insolvency came after a creditor asked for the company’s insolvency at the end of 2017. The company also has over 30 lawsuits filed this year by former employees who haven’t been paid, according to romania-insider.com quoting paginademedia.ro.
In 2016, the company rebranded as Bucharest Film Studios and Polyana Cristescu, ex-daughter-in-law of the Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, became as a member of the Council of Administration.
