Accepting the award, Alexander Nanau stated that it is an award most of all for the victims and their families, who still have not been officially recognised in Romania. The award, he said, underlined that “we want to fight corruption and we want to have free press”.

The LUX Audience Award is presented by the European Film Academy and the European Parliament, and in partnership with the European Commission and Europa Cinemas.

collective / colectiv was produced by Alexander Nanau Production (Romania), in coproduction with Samsa Film (Luxembourg) and HBO Europe.

According to the votes, collective was followed by Corpus Christi by Jan Komasa and Another Round by Thomas Vinterberg.

Corpus Christi / Boże Ciało was produced by Aurum Film (Poland), in coproduction with WFS Walter Film Studio, Wojewódzki Dom Kultury in Rzeszow, Canal+, Les Contes Modernes (France).
