Originally, FAMU Prague together with other European film schools created this project that supports the collaboration between screenwriters, directors and producers during the film development process for European students of filmmaking. This year, though, most of the workshop participants are young professionals with first or second feature-length film projects.

The workshop consists of two parts: the first part will take place during the ArtFilm Fest IFF in Trenčianske Teplice and the second in the Czech Republic at the end of the summer. During ArtFilm Fest MIDPOINT will also organize Dramaturgy Workshop for Film Professionals from Slovakia, for writer-producer creative tandems. The development of all the projects participating in the workshop for film professionals from Slovakia has been financially supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund.
