Together, they call for new participants – the deadline is 22nd February

DOK.Incubator is a well-established rough-cut stage workshop that is unique in its format and impact on filmmakers. Its aim each year is to offer individual mentorship for eight selecteddocumentary projects with a focus on dramaturgy, distribution and audience building. While only in its fourth year, in 2015 films from the workshop have appeared at Sundance, Locarno, Hot Docs, Nyon, Karlovy Vary, DOK Leipzig and IDFA (6 films in 3 competitions).Of the total of 32 developed films, one third has premiered at IDFA (and 4 films were awarded there), three have made it to Sundance, one has been nominated for the European Film Academy Award and another for an Emmy.

From 2016, Nordisk Panorama becomes the workshop’s main partner, which hosts an established and widely frequented presentation of the films: DOK.Incubator Preview. Nordisk Panorama is well known for its excellent industry activities, strong projects at the Forum and international reach. The timing is also well-matching, allowing DOK.Incubator participants to meet deadlines for IDFA, Leipzig, the Berlinale and Sundance.

Now, both partners are launching an open call for submissions, inviting editors, directors and producers of ambitious feature-length docs to work for 5 months with more than 20 experienced international lecturers. The applications and more information is available at www.dokincubator.net

In partnering with DOK.Incubator as a broadly international platform, Nordisk Panorama will be providing the Scandinavian industry with new, exclusive stories and strategic partners for future projects, coming from all around the world. DOK.Incubator brings its international network and particularly its strong links to Central and Eastern Europe and good access to North American territory, which the workshop developed thanks to the Mundus program.

Now, when CPH:DOX is moving to spring, the Panorama opens up to increase its international impact and become a key autumn event
