Entitled as "Fundamentals of Writing for Television", Robin will discuss the development of ideas into episodes of television - how an idea becomes a series, and how the series is broken down into individual episodes. Examples will be given from her Writers' Guild Award and Peabody Award winning work on Mad Men. She will also discuss how the "writers' room" of American television functions, followed by a question and answer session.
The lecture will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016, at Hotel Europe - Atrium. Accredited guests of CineLink are welcome to join.
The lecture promotes the upcoming edition of theMIDPOINT TV Launch 2017, focusing on development of high-end television series, a scriptwriting program which opens its call for entries on August 15, 2016 and will close the submissions on September 16, 2016. The third workshop of the program will be taking place within the framework of Sajarevo FF in August 2017.
MIDPOINT's alumni and tutors are also a part of the festival's official and industry program: The Black Pin by Ivan Marinovic, competing in the Feature Film Competition, is a MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2015 Alumni. Looking for Venera by Norika Sefa, a CineLink project, also attended last year's MIDPOINT Feature Launch. MIDPOINT's Feature Launch Producer Tutor, Danijel Hocevar, is attending CineLink with his project My Name is Damian. Congratulations to all!
