A new edition of Animation Think Tank, an industry conference meeting organized by CEE Animation Workshop in collaboration with the Animafest World Festival of Animated Film, was held in Zagreb on June 4 and 5. High-level animation industry professionals from different territories and production environments joined two Zagreb sessions to discuss the main topic: an International Co-Development Support Mechanism for animated projects.

The initiative focused on drafting a status report in the region and a common document to establish the fund, facilitating cooperation and collaboration across borders. The aims of the Animation Think Tank meetings were to discuss and prepare starting points for establishing an international co-development funding mechanism for animated projects and to lay the groundwork for creating a declaration—a document that outlines the purpose and June 10 2024 operational framework to present the funding mechanism idea to stakeholders.

Think Tank 2024 participants included 12 professionals from 8 CEE countries: Vojin Vasović (Serbia), Reinhold Bidner (Austria), Danijela Radulović (Montenegro), Mladen Djukić (BIH), Jožko Rutar (Slovenia), Vessela Dantcheva (Bulgaria), Lado Skorin (Croatia), Denis Alenti (Croatia), Saša Bach (Slovenia), Matija Šturm (Slovenia), Martina Petrović (Croatia), and Kristel Toldsepp (Estonia).
