The competition will gather 20 comedies and 31 dramas from 22 countries. The entire list of nominees is attached and also available on the Festival website (follow link below). The announcement was made today by David Tomatis, chief executive officer of the Festival, which is scheduled 7th - 11th June 2009 in Monaco. The winners will be announced during the Golden Nymph Ceremony on Thursday 11th June 2009.
Other highlights of the 49th Monte Carlo Television Festival will be the international television program competition and awards, premiere screenings amongst which the world premiere of film documentary "Backdoor Channels: The Price of Peace", and glamorous receptions and parties organized by some of the major networks and studios, which all contribute to the magical atmosphere of Monaco.
More than 300 journalists from around the world are present to cover this international television festival attended by the creative forces of the industry.
