Cinequest is the largest independent film festival in North America. Throughout the 13 days of the festival there will be 200 films from various countries presented. Silicon Vallet will be visited be over 600 filmmakers from 44 countries. More than 10 000 artists participated in the festival in the last 20 years.
„War Games and the Man Who Stopped Them” will be shown in Cinequest's Documentary Feature Competition. According to the organizers, this section is “an international mixture of adventurous and thought-provoking films that challenge and inspire audiences. Films are selected based on high artistic merits and the discovery of a unique and personal vision.” The Official Festival Jury, comprised of industry professionals- Anna Easteden, Marla Miller and Cynthia Kane- will select the winner for Best Feature Documentary.

San Jose screening will be the festival premiere of the film in United States.
The festival tournée has started almost a year ago, when „War Games and the Man Who Stopped Them” opened International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA). It was the first Polish film ever to open this largest and most prestigious documentary film festival in the world. After premiering at IDFA, the film was screened at Hot Docs Toronto, Dok.fest in Munich, Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia, Art. Film Fest in Slovakia and recently at Bergen International Film Festival. There was also a special screening at the prestigious London Frontline Club, that gathers journalists, foreign correspondents, writers and social activists that create a network of intellectual elite members around the world. American premiere of the film was in the CIA headquarters in Langley and was attended by, among others, professor Zbigniew Brzezinski and the director of CIA, Michael Hayden. It was the first public film screening at CIA headquarters and also it was the first time to allow Polish journalists to enter CIA premises. At the occasion of this special event CIA cleared numerous documents regarding martial law in Poland, that were submitted by Colonel Kuklinski.
