ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre allotted 1,436,403 EUR / 10,790,000 HRK for the production of three feature films, one debut feature and one experimental film on 4 September 2016.

BUCHAREST: Obscur, the debut feature of Romanian writer/director Andrei Stefanescu, is currently in the financing and preproduction stage. The film is an independent project set for shooting in November 2016.

ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre approved 556,730 EUR / 4,178,000 HRK for minority coproductions and animated films on 23 September 2016.

BUCHAREST: Tudor Giurgiu is in the casting process with his new feature film At the Side of the Moon, set for shooting in Spain and Romania in spring 2017. This Romanian/Spanish coproduction is his first project shot abroad.

BUCHAREST: Cristina Iacob's #selfie69 reached 25,121 admissions and became the best opening Romanian film in the last 26 years. This youth comedy is a sequel to #selfie, which was the most successful domestic film in 2014, with 87,288 admissions and 259,971 EUR / 1,143,875 RON gross.

TBILISI: Anthony Lucero’s feature film The Clown starring Lily Collins, Pål Sverre Hagen and Jean-Marc Barr is currently shooting in Tbilisi until October 2016. The Georgian company Misty Dawn is servicing. Romanian Marius Panduru (Aferim! by Radu Jude, Hi Film) is the DoP, while South African/American rock star Dave Matthews will create the soundtrack.
