GRANTS: Croatia Announces TV Development Grants

    ZAGREB: The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) has approved 277,488.50 EUR as project development and script development grants for TV series and individual works for animated projects, documentaries and dramas. The third season of the acclaimed crime series Rest in Peace, the first series developed by HAVC broadcast in Western Europe, is among the winners.

    The decision comes after the third TV Stock Exchange held on 29 June 2016, when 38 projects were selected, waiting for HAVC to approve the amount of money, which it did on 30 August 2016.

    Among the winning projects are the second season of the acclaimed documentary series Slumbering Concrete / Betonski spavači, the third season of the popular crime seriesRest in Peace / Počivali u miru, the documentary series Borderline, produced by Belgium’s Off World in coproduction with Belgium’s VRT-Canvas, Croatia’s Kinoteka, Wagner Docs from Denmark, Estonia’s Allfilm and Poland’s Centralafilm, and the TV drama Usput by Vlatka Vorkapić.
