According to Croatian media, the eight episode series will also shoot in Rijeka, Pag and Jesenice, and is expected to film more scenes in May 2017. The series started shooting in London.

The story is based on the bestseller McMafia by British journalist Misha Glenny and focuses on the international world of organised crime. James Norton, David Stathairn, Juliet Rylance and Aleksey Serebryakov are starring. AMC, BBC and Cuba Pictures are coproducing, in association with Twickenham Studios. The name of the Croatian company providing services has not been announced.

The premiere is set for December 2017.
