Cyprus historical film goes into production

By Ninos Feneck Mikelides

Guilt, a historically set fiction feature film, is set to go into production in Cyprus in early November, with Vassilis Mazomenos directing.

The Cyprus Cultural Services of the Ministry currently budgets about 1.000.000 Euros per year for the financing of films, including feature films and short films. Guilt is among the new films that have been co-financed with the Greek Film Centre and ERT television.

The film will present an in-depth view of Cyprus history from 1955 to the present, through the story of an elderly ex-sales trader who relives his past through a seires of flash-backs.
