The film will deal with major events in Czech history, it will be directed by Sean Ellis. The film is derived from a real historical event remembered as one of the most important and emotional moments in Czech history- the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, the Nazi Protector of Bohemia and Moravia during the Third Reich.

The Czech coproducer of the film will be David Ondricek who said "I want it to be a film full of emotion, not an epic war drama." His company Lucky Man Films will be producing Anthropoid.
