The section focuses on films from CEE countries, although this year’s selection includes films from Portugal, the UK and France. The Ukraine is represented by two films. Romania and Poland each have one film in the competition. The jury for this section includes the Slovak filmmaker Robert Kirchhoff. The winning film will receive a prize of 10,000 USD from the section’s partner Current Time TV.
The Opus Bonum competition, which has a single jury member, this year will be judged by Latvian filmmaker Laila Palkanina. Other competition sections include the national competition Czech Joy consisting of 18 films, debut competition First Lights, the experimental international competition Fascinations and the experimental Czech competition EXPRMNTL.CZ.
