The programme, which is designed for emerging TV series creators, takes their original TV series ideas through an intensive script writing process, and on to meet the international market and decision makers.

Two projects come from the Czech Republic and one each comes from Belgium, Germany, Greece and Serbia.

The first workshop is scheduled for November in Banska Stiavnica in Slovakia. The second workshop will be held during the film festival Finale Plzen in the Czech Republic in April 2018, and the final workshop takes place at the film market CineLink during Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The programme concludes with the presentation of the HBO Europe Award to the best project, and the C21 Media Award going to one participating producer. 

MIDPOINT also selected three Slovak projects to participate in its MIDPOINT Intensive SK workshop, which also takes place in Slovakia in November.
