It was a strong showing overall for Slovak directors and producers, with other awards going to Little Harbour by Iveta Grofova and Heavy Heart by Marek Sulik. The festival had expanded from a Czech national film festival to a festival of Czech and Slovak films only a few years ago, in recognition not only of the continued strong collaboration between the two countries, but also as an acknowledgement of how often the festival was giving out awards to Slovak filmmakers.
The festival’s Industry Programme focused on training seminars and practical knowledge useful for writers, producers and directors, with the MIDPOINT script development programme a strong partner in this area.
