The festival, which will take place in Prague 14-16 June 2018, will screen five films, including two Czech premieres.
The international platform to support aspiring female filmmakers, also known as Girls in Film, was launched in London and expanded to the Czech Republic in 2017 under the direction of founder Julie Zackova.
Along with film screenings, the festival will host a panel discussion on the position of women in the Czech and international film industry.
The films being screened include a Polish film, which competed at the Berlinale, Tower: A Bright Day directed by Jagoda Szelc, produced by Indeks Film Studio, coproduced by Centrala, EBH Polska, Dreamsound, Heliograf and Odra Film, and supported by the Polish Film Institute.
Film Europe also organises the festival Kino Film Europe in Bratislava, Be2Can featuring films from Cannes, Berlin and Venice, and SCANDI featuring Nordic films.
