Image via @SonyPictures/Columbia Tristar Marketing GroupBUDAPEST: Sony Pictures has confirmed on Twitter that the Gran Turismo film directed by Neill Blomkamp and starring Archie Madekwe, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Darren Barnet, is currently shooting at the Hungaroring in Hungary.
The film penned by Jason Hall is based on the popular video game franchise and it will be inspired by the story of Jann Mardenborough, who became a real-life racing driver after winning the Sony’s GT Academy.
Gran Turismo is a collaboration between Sony Pictures and Playstation, and its release is set for 11 August 2023.
