Kickstarter Campaign for Latvian Roller Skis Doc Launched

RIGA: The producers of a doc about Latvian athlete Raymond Dombrovsky’s bid to cross North America on roller-skis have launched a kickstarter campaign to fund the film which has also received backing from the Latvian National Film Centre.

The Latvian film-crew will follow the athlete as he takes the same 4,200 mile route he completed on roller skis back in 1988. This time Dombrovsky will cover only part of the journey on roller skis. With original footage from the earlier journey, the film will explore the way people and places can change over 26 years. Arnis Aspers, director and producer of A to B Rollerski says, “About 20 hours of video material has been saved from 1988 and will be used for the basis of the movie. Shooting is set to start in September.
