TV Advertising Grows in Lithuania

    VILNIUS: Lithuania saw advertising on TV and in cinemas rise substantially in 2012, contrasting with a steep decline in print advertising.

    According to a report cited in The Baltic Course, TV advertising grew 20.6 percent in 2012. The increase was attributed primarily to four small channels that began contributing data only in 2012. Advertisements in cinemas rose by 66.7 percent for the year.

    Print media advertising fell 16.8 percent, with newspaper advertising dropping by 22.7 percent.
