The film tells the story of a rookie policeman left alone in a private clinic to guard a WWII crime suspect. The lack of sleep, loneliness and police duty turn him into a ticking time bomb.
Deadweight is produced by Ieva Norviliene through Lithuania’s Tremora, in coproduction with Latvia’s Film Angels Productions. The project is supported by the Lithuanian Film Centre with 77,000 EUR and by Eurimages with 50,000 EUR.The estimated budget is 300,000 EUR.
Ieva Norvilienė also produced and distributed Ignas Miškinis' short film Easily and Sweetly, as well as his debut feature Diringas and his second feature Low Lights / Artimosšviesos (a coproduction with Germany‘s Dagstar Film).
