Malta Production Company Opens Office in South Africa

VALLETTA: The Producer’s Creative Partnership (PCP) of Malta has opened an office in Cape Town is based on a partnership with Film Afrika, the country’s leading production company.

This partnership should increase the number of coproductions between Europe and South Africa, by offering viable season and location alternatives to Malta. PCP already has coproduction treaties with Italy, Germany, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

South Africa provides a cash rebate of 20% to foreign producers with an additional 5% if some postproduction work is conducted in the country. In Malta the producers receive a cash rebate of up to 25% on qualified expenditure.

Founded in 2001, The Producer's Creative Partnership is recognised as the first and premier Maltese production company for production services for films and TV commercials.
