credit: www.timesofmalta.comVALLETTA: Acclaimed Bulgarian director Javor Gardev wrapped shooting on his new feature film Icaria in Malta. The film is a Russian production.
According to www.timesofmalta.com, the producers were attracted to Malta thanks to the facilities at the Film Studios in Kalkara, but after discussions with the Malta Film Commission, they shot in various other locations both in Malta and Gozo.
Icaria is a science fiction film set in 2027, when scientific progress makes immortality possible.
The film also features the cult British band The Tiger Lillies, who also recorded the title track for the film.
