Galeria will follow the lives of people connected to one shopping mall - its workers, owners and their families and friends. The series is directed by Ryszard Zatorski and produced by ATM Grupa (www.atmgrupa.pl). The producer informed FNE that the cast includes Julia Pietrucha, Tomasz Dedek, Magdalena Turczniewicz, Bartosz Porczyk, Marek Kalita, Joanna Orleańska and Andrzej Deskur.

ATM Grupa and Polish public broadcaster TVP (www.tvp.pl) have agreed to produce 94 episodes of the series, 20 minutes each. Galeria will premiere on TVP1 on 30 January 2012 and will replace a very popular Polish soap opera, Plebania, that has been on the air for the last eleven years. ATM Grupa originally pitched the show to the private Polish broadcaster Polsat (www.polsat.pl), but the station chose another soap opera, Straight In The Heart, that noted low viewer results.

Galeria is based on an Italian format entitled Centro Vetrine, aired on the Italian station Canale 5 (wwww.canale5.mediaset.it) since 2001. The version for TVP1 has been significantly adapted to Polish reality by a crew of screenwriters supervised by Renata Frydrych.
