Magic Mountain, a Romania/Polish/French coproduction between Aparte Film, Filmograf and Arizona Films Distribution will be distributed in Romania by Aparte Film, in Poland by Solopan and in France by Arizona Films Distribution. The French company is also handling the sales.
Anca Damian is now preparing to start shooting her new project In Perfect Health/Perfect sănătos on 5 October 2015. The feature with actors, is inspired by her father’s death.
Damian wrote the script with Lia Bugnar, and she cast her son, Anghel Damian, as the leading actor of this coming-of-age story. Born into a family of filmmakers (his father, Laurenţiu Damian, is the president of Romanian Filmmakers Union) Anghel Damian made his feature debut in Vali Hotea’s Roxanne (HiFilm Productions and Cor Leonis) in 2013.
The cast includes Vlad Ivanov, Olimpia Melinte and Cristina Florea. Oleg Mutu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Mobra Film) is the DoP. Shooting will wrap on 8 November 2015.
Anca Damian is producing through Aparte Film. The project received a production grant from the National Film Center and a development grant from Creative Europe – MEDIA. The premiere is set for October 2016.
