REGIOFUN is the only event in Europe dedicated to films made with the support of regional film funds and cities. The festival celebrates both film producers and their role in the process of creating cinema as well as the engagement of local funds in European and international film productions.
The Jury of the Full Feature Film Competition at Regiofun, comprised of Ewa Puszczyńska, Arkadiusz Tomiak, and Bernd Buder, awarded the 10,000 EUR First Prize to Raymond van der Kaaij, the producer of Bodkin Ras. The film follows a stranger, Bodkin Ras, who comes to a small Scottish town. He meets the inhabitants and tries to befriend them while he looks for a job, a place to stay and an escape from the past. However, the differences between him and the others are visible every step of the way.
The Jury of the Short Film Competition, composed of Agnieszka Moody, Inge Tenvik and Rafael Lewandowski, decided to split the 10,000 EUR award into tow prizes. A prize of 8,000 EUR went Lars Persson and Johan Sundkvist, the producers of The Radio Amateur directed by Lars Persson and supported by Filmpool Nord. A prize of 2,000 EUR went to Gabriel Festoc and Nelson Ghrénassia, producers of French directed by Josza Anjembe, supported by Région Bretagne. The Audience Award went to Anton Roebben and Eric Goossens, producers of Voltaire directed by Jan Snoekx, supported by Flanders Audiovisual Fund.
