LJUBLJANA: The Federation of European Film Directors (FERA) held a meeting with film professionals in Ljubljana, to discuss copyright issues under the new proposals by the European Commission.
Film professionals from a dozen countries attended the meeting.
At issue was the balance of fairness towards the authors of audiovisual works.
FERA Chair Dan Clifton said. "As audiovisual Authors, we welcome the proposals by the European Commission to develop greater transparency and fairer remuneration for authors. We now look forward to working with the European Parliament and Council of Ministers to strengthen these proposals and ensure they have real teeth."
