BRUSSELS: The European Film Agency Directors EFAD's issued a report with 10 solutions to support better promotion of European films and increase exports outside of Europe.
The report was developed following an EFADs roundtable discussion attended by the European Commission, film promotion agencies, national film bodies and other representatives of the European audiovisual sector at the70th Cannes Film Festival, which took place from 17 to 28 May 2017.
The first solution is that the European Commission should be encouraged to relaunch a dedicated scheme to support operators in third countries to release, distribute, and promote European works more actively.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
