CEE films compete for LUX Prize

    Films from Hungary, Lithuania, and Romania are among the ten films selected to compete for the European Parliament's LUX Prize,

    The Central European films in cometition are: Bibliothèque Pascal by Szabolcs Hajdu, a coproduction from Hungary, Germany, United Kingdom, Romania: and Medalia de onoare (Medal of Honour) by Calin Peter Netzer, a coproduction from Germany, Romania.

    A short-list of at least three films will be announced on July 27. The LUX Prize will be awarded on November 24 in Strassbourg.
