Mungiu Named President of Europa Distribution

Romanian director Cristian Mungiu was selected as president of Europa Distribution (www.europa-distribution.org) during the association's third general assembly and workshop, held in Paris 5-7 July 2011. Jakub Duszynski of Poland's Gutek Film (www.gutekfilm.pl) was elected as one of two vice-presidents.

They will serve a three-year term.

Europa Distribution, founded in 2006, is a network of independent film distribution companies from 25 European countries. Some 50 distributors participated in the Paris meeting.
