Parada Film, the film’s producer and distributor, launched an original media campaign with famous Romanian sportsmen inviting people to support Romania at the Berlinale. The campaign's broader aim was to build local interest in the film.
During the opening weekend, Netzer, producer Ada Solomon, screenwriter Răzvan Rădulescu, DoP Andrei Butică and lead actors Luminiţa Gheorghiu, Bogdan Dumitrache, Florin Zamfirescu, Ilinca Goia and Nataşa Raab will travel the country to greet audiences in Ploieşti, Cluj-Napoca, Braşov, Târgu-Mureş, Constanţa and Craiova.
Child's Pose/Poziţia copilului (www.pozitiacopilului.ro) will be distributed in France by Sophie Dulac, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by X-Verleih, in Benelux by Contact Films, in Greece by Seven Films, in Serbia and Montenegro by Discovery Film and Video Distribution, in Australia and New Zealand by Palace Films, and in Taiwan by Swallow Wings. The German company Beta Cinema is in final negotiations for all other territories, including leading distribution companies in the USA and Great Britain.
Ada Solomon told FNE that she is expecting admissions of 15,000 in the first weekend. "In my opinion, a big advantage is that after seeing the film people will recommend it to other people instead of saying,: 'it's not a big deal, don't go and see it'", Solomon told FNE.
