Romanian Days at TIFF Announce 2013 Selection

BUCHAREST: Ten features, one long documentary and 20 short films will be screened during Romanian Days, the showcase of new Romanian films at the 12th Transylvania International Film Festival, taking place 6 - 8 June 2013.

Three features will have their world premieres during Romanian Days: Alexandru Maftei's Miss Christina/Domnişoara Christina (an adaptation of the novella by Mircea Eliade), the mockumentary Bucharest Experiment/Experimentul Bucureşti by Bucharest-based British journalist Tom Wilson, and Déjà vu by Dan Chişu. Matei, Child Miner/Matei, copil miner, Alexandra Gulea's first feature, will have its national premiere in Romanian Days.

The jury of will be compose of the director and producer Mona Nicoară, the Israeli film critic Yael Shuv and the Russian film critic Evgeny Gusyatinskiy. Transylvania IFF will take place in Cluj-Napoca 31 May - 9 June.

Directors Stephen Frears and Jiri Menzel will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at TIFF.
