    BUCHAREST: Dragoş Lumpan's The Last Transhumance/Ultima transhumanţă, a 90-minute documentary shot along a 45,000 km route in Albania, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Wales and Romania has launched a crowdfunding campaign in order to wrap postproduction. 

    The campaign, launched on the Romanian platform Creştem Idei, has already risen 2,392 EUR/10,732 RON. Lumpan, who is also the DoP and is producing through FotoCabinet Association, in coproduction with GAV, aims to raise at least 7,500 EUR of the 15,000 EUR needed in 33 days, hoping to compensate with savings and other collaborations. He told FNE that he might launch a new campaign on an international platform in autumn 2015.

    The total budget is approximately 140,000 EUR, Lumpan told FNE. The Romanian Cultural Institute and the National Cultural Fund Administration are supporting. The Last Transhumance started as a photography project in Romania in 2007 and extended to several countries in 2010 eventuallybecoming a film project. Shooting took place during the course of 28 trips between 2007-2008 and 2010-2012 and resulted in 100 hours footage. Some 100,000 photos are also used for time-lapse images.

    The film is expected to wrap at the end of 2015 with the premiere set for 2016.
